The Pitt Athletic Training program provides you with the opportunity to take what you learn in the classroom and apply it in a variety of clinical settings. A strong relationship with UPMC and access to multiple health care facilities gives you hands-on experience that prepares you for future success in health care.

The Accelerated Master of Science in Athletic Training program focuses on injury prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries in the physically active and sports populations, with an emphasis on comprehensive health care. This program prepares students to deliver high-quality care to athletes and physically active individuals across the life span and all levels of competition.

This is an upper-division program, meaning students are required to have 60 college credits before beginning the program in the fall term. Students selected from this applicant pool will graduate with a BS in Rehabilitation Science with a concentration in Pre-Athletic Training and an MS in Athletic Training.

This entry point is designed for students who have already earned a bachelor’s degree. Students in this application pool must have also earned the outlined prerequisite requirements prior to formal admittance to the MS in AT program.
