In keeping with the two-fold mission of the Department of Bioengineering to provide a high-quality engineering education to both undergraduate and graduate students and be a leader in research in specific areas encompassed by Bioengineering. The Bioengineering undergraduate curriculum has the objective to prepare students to achieve their post-baccalaureate goal of an industrial career in bioengineering or related field; graduate school (M.S. and Ph.D. programs related to bioengineering); or professional school (Medical, Dental, Health-Related, Business, and Law).
Bachelor of Science in Engineering in Bioengineering
In this program, students will be provided with a broad knowledge of the technical and social principles of bioengineering and deepen their understanding of the technical and non-technical issues in bioengineering process and design
Master of Science in Bioengineering
This is a thesis-based bioengineering program in which the student completes a combination of didactic coursework and, under the mentorship of an advisor, performs a scholarly thesis project.
Master of Science in Bioengineering - Medical Product Engineering
This degree program emphasizes preparation for a career in the medical device industry through hands-on, practical experience in medical product design and development, development of advanced engineering skills, and instruction in professional affairs and practices in medical engineering
Doctor of Philosophy in Bioengineering
The Doctor of Philosophy Program in the Department of Bioengineering emphasizes our excellence in bioengineering research and education.
